The Parish Church of San Eusebio

Ancient faith among the hills of Monferrato

A place of silence, memory and spirituality

In the heart of the Castle grounds stands a small, discreet yet powerful church dedicated to Saint Eusebius, the first bishop of Piedmont and a pivotal figure in ancient spirituality.
His presence on the hill predates that of the Castle by centuries, making the parish church the most authentic symbol of the sacred continuity of the place.

Sacred continuity
over time

Built in ancient times and nestled in lush greenery, the Parish Church of San Eusebio is a rare example of a place of worship that has never been forgotten.
Today, it hosts private moments, intimate ceremonies, and contemplative pauses, enveloped in an atmosphere that invites reflection and beauty.

Born in Sardinia in the 4th century, Eusebius was the first bishop of Piedmont. A defender of Christian orthodoxy, he faced exile with determination and brought to the West a new vision of the clergy, inspired by monastic life.
He was also responsible for the first sanctuaries in Piedmont and, according to tradition, the introduction of the cult of the Black Madonna.
