Historic spaces, living sets

Every room, terrace, garden or cellar of Uviglie Castle is designed to tell a story. From the most intimate to the monumental, each room retains the character of those who lived there and the care of those who guard it today.
In this section you will find all the areas that can be visited and their stories, ready to become the setting for events, celebrations or simple moments of wonder.

The Study of Count
Armodio Callori Pico Gonzaga

The private vision of a gentleman from another era
This study preserves the refined character of the Castle’s last great owner. Armodio, visionary and cultured, was the architect of the 19th-century revival of the entire complex. His silent and determined presence can still be felt here.

The Hall of Alchemy

Hidden Symbols and Mystery
A room enveloped in aquatic and symbolic frescoes, rich in esoteric and spiritual references. The coat of arms of the Pico-Gonzaga family in the center recalls a sense of ancient knowledge, in a space that does not explain but whispers.

The Park Terrace

A poetic overlook of silence
At the foot of the Old Tower, protected by trees, the terrace offers a view of the small church of St. Eusebius and the historic park. Intimate, discreet, evocative: a place that guards the landscape, not just displays it.

The Panoramic Window

The light that tells the Monferrato story
Overlooking the hills, this scenic opening gives golden sunsets over Cella Monte and Rosignano. A privileged vantage point where beauty is the absolute protagonist.

The Antica Vigna del Conte

The bond between land, man and time
Hidden within the Castle walls, this small private vineyard was the Count’s personal reserve. Today it overlooks the Monferrato of Infernot, a UNESCO heritage site, and discreetly speaks of the intimacy of the winemaking tradition.

The Belvedere

A corner suspended between sky and silence
Protected by a majestic Cedar of Lebanon and a redwood tree, this lookout is a shady and contemplative retreat. The perfect place to slow down, listen and feel at home.

The Noble Hall of the Pico-Gonzagas

Ceremonial and architectural heart
A scenic hall full of light, frescoes and stucco, it has hosted political alliances, ceremonies and banquets. It is the historic soul of the Castle, with direct access to the Hanging Garden.

The Blue Room - I Pocaparte

The Castle’s origins in a collected room
This small room marks the beginning of the story, where the Pocaparte family laid the first foundations. An intimate place overlooking a green and private balcony.

The Main Entrance - The Gate over the Park

Every great story has its noble entrance
The wide wrought-iron gate introduces visitors to a harmonious design of hedges, avenues and perspectives: it is the beginning of an immersive experience between landscape and architecture.

The FIAT Hall

Where an idea destined to change Italy was born
Frequented by Emanuele Cacherano of Bricherasio, the founding of FIAT was first discussed here. It hosted hunting dinners and meetings between aristocracy and industry.

The Women's Room

The silent memory of the Castle
Cozy and intimate space frequented by Sofia Cacherano of Bricherasio. A place reserved for women, among reflections, art and sensibility.

The Hanging Garden

A suspended corner, between geometry and nature
Italian garden with box hedges and an ancient wisteria pergola. From the green heart of the Piano Nobile, the view opens to the Torre Merlata and the Historical Park.

The Courtyard of Honor

Balance of architecture and power
A dramatic space with symmetrical staircases, it served as direct access to the Piano Nobile and the Cellars. Once the seat of official life, it retains its ceremonial grandeur today.

The Monumental Cellars

The foundations of memory
Built in the late 15th century by the Pico-Gonzagas, they are a labyrinth of vaults, arches and barrel scents. They once guarded alliances; today they silently tell the tale of passing time.

The Infernot of the Castle

The silence that refines wine
Carved out of living rock, infernots are small rooms dedicated to the preservation of wine, now a UNESCO heritage site. Between niches and natural walls, here wine does not sleep: it meditates.
